How much will a tattoo on my lower back hurt?

I just turned 18 and am planning on getting a tattoo done within the next few days, my tattoo is about the size of a half of a dollar bill and I want it on the right side of my lower back just before the ribs, i know getting it done on the ribs hurts like hell. just wondering what pain to expect. thanks!

pain is in your head dude plus a little tattoo like that isnt going to take very long
Its not bad at all. I have mine there and I have piercings that were more painful than my tat. And you get used to it after a few minutes. Go for it..you’ll be fine.

My mom said it felt like someone putting out cigarettes on her back, then peeling away the layer of skin, GOODLUCK!
i was 17 when i got my first tattoo it was a pretty large lower back tattoo in remembrance of my grandfather.. full color and all together took about 2 hours. it was intense and it hurt bad but heres the good news.. any tats you get after that one wont seem half bad
hahaha, let it hit the ribs, enough to make a grown man cry. when the needle smashed the nerve against the rib, it can shoot a pain up thru your neck.
All tattoos hurt to some degree
Do you have any previous tattoos? If so, where are they on your body
The Lower back doesn’t hurt too much except closer to your sides , bizarrely if you have love handles on the sides it hurts more there than on the boney parts of your back
