What would be a good tattoo idea to symbolize family?
I’m looking into getting a tattoo and I don’t want one that I will regret the next day, so I thought family means so much to me and I want a tattoo to represent my family but I’m just not sure as to what I should get to symbolize it. Any ideas?
I want something to not just represent my parents but all of my other relatives since my whole family means so much to me. But thank you all for the ideas. I think I’m going to with family and maybe love in chinese writing.

i suggest your family name… or if you’re christian, you should put a cross maybe
I recently did a tatoo and I also though about it very much cause I wanted it to simbolize my love for my mother that recently died. So I tattoed the word “Mother” in Tibetan caligraphy and….I love it and it complets me….
Good luck
Get your family crest tatooed on your wrist.
How many members are in your family?
I think that a circle with dots that represent the people in your family on it would be cool. Plus, if you have any additions to your family, you could just add another dot.
just a vague thing but something to think about.
you could integrate some sort of family tree or something into it.
picture of mom dad n’ children hold hand one another..^^
Ask your parents and/or relatives about your family’s history, heirlooms, etc. Find out what your last name means, and maybe you’ll get some inspiration.
there is an african sculptur of a man and a woman holding each other.. No physical features.. just two siloettes.
for a woman, I would suggest a rose vine around your ankle and each rose would represent each one of your children.
My sister got a flower, more artsy design on her feet. Each flower represented the month my mom, dad, and myself were born in; our birth month flowersr were all tied together by abstract swirls and designs.
Nah, don’t get a foreign language tattooed on you!
I am getting the GPS coordinates of my husband and son’s birth places.
Other than that, maybe a “family” tree tattoo with initials on the branches, if you are earthy…
wow..that’s tough..perhaps the sun, moon, and stars?! like father, mother, and children…? the stars depending on how many siblings you have…that’s all i can think of!

> Celtic Knot Family Tree:
The four round stones are representative of each family member, and the orange pear cut sapphire at the bottom represents the family center, the flame, that the tree grows & flourishes from.
